Verbier International School (VIS) is a co-educational day and boarding school nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in the picturesque village of Verbier. Established in 2011, the school has grown steadily while maintaining its close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere and strong emphasis on outdoor education. VIS welcomes around 130 students throughout the year and up to 200 during the winter season, ranging in age from 2 to 18.

At VIS, education goes far beyond the classroom. The school embraces a holistic and individualised approach to learning, where the natural environment—mountains, forests, and sports fields—serves as an extension of the classroom. This dynamic educational philosophy fosters not only academic achievement but also personal growth, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

VIS Mission Statement

VIS inspires independent, global citizens to lead compassionate, courageous and purposeful lives.

In order to achieve this we:

  • Care for and contribute to our alpine environment and community.
  • Embody our Guiding Principles.
  • Aim for excellence in all our endeavours.
